Backup & Disaster Recovery

Backups you can actually restore from.

Encrypted, multi-location backups and a tested recovery plan, so a fire, flood, break-in or ransomware attack is an inconvenience, not the end of your business.

Why it matters

Data is fragile. Your recovery plan should not be.

Many businesses discover their backups do not work on the worst possible day. A drive was full, a job silently failed months ago, or the only copy was in the same building that flooded.

AJTC designs backup and recovery around one question: how fast can you get back to work? We back up to multiple geographic locations, monitor every job and test restores, so recovery is predictable.

What we do

How AJTC handles backup & disaster recovery.

  • Server & PC backup

Image-level and file-level backups of servers and key workstations, scheduled and monitored.

  • Microsoft 365 backup

Independent backup of email, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams beyond Microsoft’s retention limits.

  • Encrypted & off-site

Backups are encrypted in transit and at rest, and stored in multiple geographic locations.

  • Verified restores

Every job is monitored, and restores are tested so we know they work before you need them.

  • Fast recovery

Restore a single file in minutes or spin up critical systems quickly after a major failure.

  • Continuity planning

A documented plan for who does what, which systems come back first and how your team keeps working.

FAQ

Backup & Disaster Recovery questions.

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly.

Doesn’t Microsoft already back up Microsoft 365?

Microsoft keeps the service running, but its retention is limited and it is not designed to restore everything after accidental deletion, a departed employee or ransomware. A separate backup closes that gap.

How often are backups taken?

It depends on how much data you can afford to lose. Many clients back up critical systems multiple times a day and everything else nightly.

Can I restore files myself?

Yes. Depending on your setup you can restore your own files, and our team is always available to help with larger restores.

How quickly can we recover from a disaster?

We agree on recovery time targets with you up front and design the backup system to meet them, from minutes for a single file to hours for full systems.
